FREEDOM COLOR RUN
10 AM ON JULY 6TH @ JEFFERSON COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT MILITARY WARRIORS
The 2023 Brookville Laurel Festival Queen, Tayler Rafferty, will be hosting a “Freedom Color Run” on Saturday, July 6th, 2024, at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, ¼-mile north of i-80 exit 81 (Hazen). Registration opens at 9:00am, run begins at 10:00am. This vibrant and energetic event aims to honor active military members, veterans, and their families.
Tayler’s dedication to this cause is deeply personal. Her older brother, an active airman in the explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) unit with the united states air force, has been serving the nation for 12 years. Tayler shared, “my brother and his colleagues work each day to ensure the safety of our beloved country, and i want to give back to them. Military members are selflessly fighting for our freedom and supporting them is the least we can do.”
With immense pride and a heartfelt mission, Tayler aims to support her brother and his fellow service members through this event. All proceeds from the run will be donated to the EOD warrior foundation. This foundation is dedicated to serving the EOD community by providing financial assistance and support to active-duty, reserve and national guard, retired, and veteran EOD technicians and their families.
